Why Acting Fast Makes a Difference
1
Pain Relief Sooner
A throbbing tooth affects your sleep, work, and mood. Prompt treatment gets you back to normal faster.
2
Comfortable Chewing and Speaking Again
Cracked teeth and lost restorations can make eating and talking difficult. Treatment helps restore your normal function.
3
Lower Risk of Bigger Problems
Waiting often allows infection to spread, which can mean longer, costlier treatment. In serious cases, untreated infection can become dangerous. Early care usually leads to better outcomes.
4
Convenient Care Close to Home
Spending less time on the road when you’re hurting matters. Once you’re comfortable again, we’re happy to handle your routine checkups and cleanings too.

North Austin Emergency Dental FAQs
What should I do first if I have a dental emergency?

Call us at (512) 961-6200 and describe what’s going on. We’ll book you in and tell you what to do until you arrive. Over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen and a cold compress can ease discomfort. If there’s bleeding, press clean gauze or a cotton ball against the area.
What if my tooth gets knocked out?

Pick it up by the crown, not the root. Keep it moist in cold milk and call us right away. A knocked-out tooth has the best chance of being saved if it’s replaced within one to two hours, so come in as quickly as you can and bring the tooth.
Can a chipped or cracked tooth wait?

It shouldn’t. Damaged teeth are open to bacteria and can become infected. Call for a same-day visit. Depending on the damage, treatment might be a simple repair, a crown, or sometimes a root canal.
How much does emergency dental care cost?

It depends on the problem and the treatment needed. A crown on a broken tooth generally costs less than a root canal plus a crown. Treating an issue early usually keeps costs down. We also offer payment plans so cost doesn’t stop you from getting care.
Do you offer weekend or evening emergency visits?

Yes. We offer after-work and weekend appointments for urgent cases. Call us and we’ll find the earliest time that works.
